Cellists are a unique bunch, with a shared love for sound, expression, and friendship in music making.

Texas Cellos is a cello choir whose mission is to learn great music in the inspiring environment  of a cello orchestra alongside professionals, gain performance and rehearsal experience- while sharing the beauty of…

  ...the CELLO!

Texas Cellos, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, gives back to the community by inspiring and cultivating excellence in youth through music education, ensemble building, and performance opportunities.

A cello ensemble has a wide enough range to play from the bass to the soprano, and the sound is warm and lyrical throughout. Texas Cellos performs transcriptions from the chamber and orchestral repertoire ranging from Renaissance Motets of Palestrina and Byrd, to the baroque chorales of Bach, to movements of Beethoven and Mahler Symphonies, Barber’s Adagio, to Ravel’s “Pavanne for a Dead Princess”, Morricone’s “The Man with the Harmonica” from the movie “The Good the Bad and the Ugly” to select songs from the Beatles “1” album arranged for cello choir.
